(strings!)
It was never in the cards for You
because it was never in the stars
your destiny was doomed before the start
that’s why You could never tell them apart
I’m speaking now about the dark
and the lighter parts of your heart,
the arc of your character’s self-destructive trajectory
as we run back over your charts
Hark!
Two angels, cloaked, depart
in waiting
insurrectionists
ready their darts
however,
the question isn’t the price of protection
it’s the price of the individual parts
One asks:
How important is it for You not to leave here with scars?
These people walked dogs on the words that You barked!
Other says:
Disdaining don’t pay like back in the day —
hot breath jumping out your chest from that hard pill you swallowed?
